In July 2015, a hacker group calling themselves The Impact Team stole massive amounts of user data from the website Ashley Madison, an affair making website. The hacker group were able to leak over 25 gigabytes of data from the website. They released the information on August 18th and 20th of 2015. Many different types of emails were released, including .mil and .gov addresses. Many people were offered bribes not to share the leak with their close ones.
